Scotland’s leading legal, financial and property specialists Pagan Osborne paid tribute to its 110-strong staff at the firm’s Excellence Awards last week.

The awards, which recognise the outstanding performances of the past year, include top colleague, top for client excellence and top team. With a record 27 nominations for a total of six different categories, the ceremony was an opportunity for the whole firm to celebrate its combined achievements.

On the day, the winners were Chris Duff, Colleague of the Year; the Conveyancing department, Team of the Year; Jackie Henderson for Client Excellence of the Year; Jennifer Minogue, Outstanding Performer of the Year with Gillian Gibbons highly commended in this category ; Audrey Dishington, Business Developer of the Year and the marketing and business development team won Innovation of the Year for its ‘360 degree life review’ digital tool.

The judging panel, which included past winners of the awards, one of firm’s long standing clients and an external advisor, however, also singled out Lianne Lodge for a special achievement award. The 27 year old solicitor was felt to have contributed to every area of the firm’s success, taking on responsibilities for mentoring trainees, business development and expanding her own personal expertise.

Speaking at the awards which took place at Orocco Pier, South Queensferry, on Friday January 29, Alistair Morris, Pagan Osborne’s chief executive, said:

“As a firm it is important that we live and breathe our values and beliefs for developing people, respect and sustainability.  And in a year that has had its economic challenges it is therefore incredibly heartening to bring the whole firm together to celebrate so many outstanding performances and achievements.

“On the day, there were eight winners, but the feedback from the judges confirms my view that this firm is in fact made up of many fantastic people, all motivated to do an outstanding job for our clients.”
