The leading legal, financial and property specialists, has now trained 93% of its employees from across its Edinburgh and Fife offices, on the Steps to Excellence for Personal Success (STEPS) course.
STEPS is a programme designed by The Pacific Institute. The course consists of 13 modules and a series of exercises which involve problem solving by thinking differently. It aims to build confidence by motivating students to look at challenges in different ways and Pagan Osborne sees it as critical to the firm’s success.
Jennifer Lowry, HR Manager, Pagan Osborne said:
“The STEPS course is really important in terms of attitude, beliefs and behaviours, so we decided that the programme should be opened up to as many staff members as possible. So far, we have run 10 courses, each with 10 employees.
“Staff training is of paramount importance to Pagan Osborne and we believe that the STEPS programme is great, not only for instilling the values of the business, but for building confidence which in turn benefits our clients.”
The three-day STEPS programme has become a global success among companies, schools, colleges and even parents who are looking to gain confidence and self-belief.
One of the recent participants, Alex Reynolds, Marketing Executive at Pagan Osborne, said:
“Over the course of the three days we learnt lots of tools and techniques to increase motivation, work more efficiently and develop the confidence to really stretch ourselves professionally and personally.
“It jumpstarted the optimism of everyone who took part and it’s been really beneficial in inspiring me to think bigger and better at work.”
