tax specialist and partner at Pagan Osborne, said:
“Before every budget there is speculation on what changes may be brought in. It is incredibly difficult for people to know what action to take and pensions have already been subject to great change over recent years. Budget changes can be brought in with different timescales.
“The public appreciate that changes are inevitable but it is important that they are given as much warning as possible to allow for essential planning. If such changes take place, it could put many people off saving for their pension if the tax relief is reduced.
“Speculation is risky though and people need to think carefully about their financial and tax position before taking any knee jerk action on the rumours. It will be very interesting to see what 21st March brings.”
