A graduate of St Andrews and Dundee Universities, Gillian joined Pagan Osborne as a Trainee solicitor in 2005 Quickly finding her niche in the specialist area of agricultural law, she offers expert advice to farmers, landowners and Trusts on a wide range of issues including landlord and tenant issues, agricultural leases, contract farming agreements, renewable energy projects including wind farms, radio mast leases, Security work and Section 75 Agreements, with particular interest and expertise in the sale and acquisition of rural property including farms, estates and woodland.
Gillian also acts as the Agriculture & Estates team’s public relations representative, manages Trainee solicitors during their time with the team and is a member of our Corporate Social Responsibility group. In 2011, she became the latest Pagan Osborne winner of the Rising Star of the Year at the Scott + Co Legal Awards and gained a recommendation for Agriculture & Estates in the Legal 500 UK directory.
On a personal note...
Favourite Film: I like lots of films, but the one that immediately springs to mind is Love Actually.
Hobbies: Socialising with family and friends, going to the gym … and shopping!!
Favourite Food: I suppose you could call eating out another one of my hobbies, especially Italian.
