Our Fees

It is one of our key commitments that at any point throughout a transaction, you will have total transparency on what you can expect to pay. 

Although it’s not always apparent straightaway how much work will be required, we will always endeavour to give you an accurate picture as early as possible. If at any point we discover that more or less time is needed to complete the task to the agreed level, we will immediately inform you and will not proceed any further without your approval. 

How we charge

We will provide a detailed breakdown of all costs associated with your purchase or sale upfront so you know exactly what you can expect to pay and when. This quote will include, where relevant,  costs for the legal work (known as conveyancing), any 3rd party costs (such as tax, land registration fees etc), a breakdown of our estate agency fee and any additional services you may wish to include such as viewing agents or advertising. 

In rare cases, the conveyancing process can uncover unforeseen difficulties. If this is the case and further work is required to complete the transaction, we will let you know immediately and will not proceed without your consent. If you do not to approve any additional work required to complete the transaction we will charge you for the work undertaken up until that point and for any further work required to withdraw from the matter.

Ways to pay

We use our vast experience across all types of legal, financial and property transactions to estimate the amount of work required for each individual transaction to a high degree of accuracy. 

However, if you require totally clarity on cost from the start, in certain cases we can accommodate this. We will provide a cost based on the full extent of the information available to us before the start of the transaction and fee this upfront. Should the transaction then require additional work on our part, we will not request any further payment. That way you know you won’t have any more bills to contend with down the line. Ask your solicitor about 'scoping' payment if this is of interest to you.

In order to accommodate your requirements for payment, we have a range of options available. This includes online, BACS, cheque, debit or credit card. We can also agree a plan to spread the cost over a number of payments.
